The FW-2205D is a rotating style electric toothbrush that is powered by a internal rechargeable battery and has replaceable brush heads. It is in a similiar style to the Oral B electric toothbrushes that have a circular head.

Impressions

The toothbrush is very affordable coming in at under 20 USD for a starter kit. Replacement heads are also available for about 8 USD for an 4 pack. The toothbrush is made of durable plastic with the charging port at the bottom. The charging port is a regular DC jack type. It does not come with a stand like a Sonicare toothbrush so charging it will be mean it will have to lay flat. I prefer the all plastic handle as it is easier to clean and has not deteriorated after over a year of use. The toothbrush has also not gotten moldy on the shaft, charging port or anywhere else on the handle.

The first thing I noticed with the toothbrush is the shaft was plastic, so I was initially worried about the durability of it. The Sonicare comes with a metal shaft. After using it for over a year the shaft has lasted the test of time and has not broken off. The plastic shaft is not an issue at all.

Before using the electric tooth brush for the first time, you will need to charge it. Depending on the adapter it can take up to 6 hours for a full charge.

To add the toothbrush heads to the handle. You need to align the single line marking on the head to the arrow on the handle and then twist clockwise a few degrees for the double lines to line up with the arrow on the handle and then it will be locked in.

The toothbrush heads are hard on first use. I would recommend soaking the head in water for 30 mins before first use to soften it up.

How long does the battery last on the Fairywill electric toothbrush?

On a full charge the battery lasts about 14 days using 3 cycles per day, which works about to be 84 mins of runtime. There is no noticeable fall off on power when the battery is half depleted. The toothbrush will die suddenly so there is no warning that it requires a charge. There is no LED meter on the brush handle to indicate battery capacity. There is one blue LED to indicate that it is charging. Flashing will indicated that is charging and solid blue will indicate that the handle has completed charging. The toothbrush will not turn on while it is being charged.

The clean setting is the default one and has enough power to thoroughly clean each and every teeth. The next setting is the sensitive mode and this slows down the rotations of the head a bit for those that have sensitive teeth and gums. The massage setting is the sensitive mode with some oscillating. These are the 3 settings that most users would want. I always found the additional settings on the Sonic cares over kill and not needed by most people.

One thing to notice with the tooth brush head is that there are 2 slits on it for water to go in and out. Over time toothpaste will gum up these areas, so you will need to rinse it well on a regular basis. The gumming of the area can slow down the performance of the electric tooth brush. Cleaning it, is as simply removing the head and rinsing it with hot water. Brush heads are recommended to be replaced ever 3 months but I have noticed that they do hold there shape and stiffness well over 6 months.

This review was not done with any incentive, the products were purchased with my own money.

This toothbrush can be purchased on Ebay
