This Logitech G735 gaming headset is one of the best on the market.
The Logitech G735 is a premium gaming headset that is lightweight and comfortable while remaining unobtrusive. It comes in white and is aesthetically pleasing and is aimed to be more fun than a serious piece of hardware. The target audience is no longer males in the 14-22 age but extends to females all the way up to 35+ who just want to have fun.
We’ve tested 10 pairs of Logitech headsets in the past. Logitech makes a fairly wide range of gaming headsets with varying features, though even their more premium models are budget-friendly. Logitech Gaming is known for making premium gaming headsets that offer excellent microphone performance, sound customization options, and a choice of default sound presets and profiles.
Logitech isn’t new in relation to gaming headsets, they make superb hardware and have left a mark on the gaming industry rising up in market share. I own numerous headsets from G231 to the PRO wireless, 5.1 surround, and stereo headphones. The Logitech G735 headset is very nicely built, light, snug and has a pleasant contemporary-streamer design. The sound quality on these cans is quite awesome, they can be loud while maintaining clarity, and the cups create a nice seal to passively reduce outside noise. The detachable microphone is superb in picking up my voice and being heard without issues. It comes with Blue VOiCE to further enhance your sound and your voice the way you want others to hear you.
The Headset also features USB wireless for a no-hassle direct connection as well as Bluetooth connectivity if you also want to connect to your phone. You can be gaming one minute and taking a call the next minute without having to reconnect the headset or any extra steps. LIGHTSPEED is Logitech G’s brand for its 2.4 GHz wireless connectivity protocol.
The Logitech G G735 Wireless Gaming Headset is a light, soft and ultra-comfortable headset that sounds great and actually fits snugly. They look gorgeous and have a kind of cartoon look and feel to them. Smooth edges make it stand out differently compared to previously released headsets. The RGB lighting is nice and fun and can be customized to truly make you stand out while streaming on Twitch. The G735s hit the scene of being more inclusive by catering to females who have smaller heads. If your head is on the smaller side of the scale, you can wear this headset for hours on end and you have $230 USD to drop on a headset, it’s hard not to consider this premium headset from the Logitech Gaming Aurora Collection.
Another alternative is the Logitech G432 Gaming Headset which is the best budget-friendly Logitech headset that we’ve tested. Although these wallet-friendly headphones have very limited controls, they’re fairly customizable thanks to their compatibility with Logitech’s G Hub software. You can adjust their deep base default sound to suit your tastes using their software’s graphic EQ and presets as well as control the mic’s sidetone levels and volume.

This Logitech G735 gaming headphones with mic is packed with new features.
Where this headphone stands out, though, is playing two audio streams at the same time like CSGO and music. I was able to game on my PC while listening to Dire straits music or the Joe Rogan podcast from my smartphone through the Bluetooth connection. And, sure, I could’ve easily pulled these up on my computer, but the built-in crossfade setting was easy to control and allowed me to turn up the game audio when needed without having to pause the game to change audio settings. I was also able to switch podcasts on my smartphone easily without having to exit the current game. I could see this being a handy feature if you get a call while you’re gaming, or if you want to use Discord to chat with friends while you’re playing CS GO which has a lot of downtimes when you die.
The Logitech G735 has an easy-to-use-to-use new control scheme. There’s a dedicated power button, a volume roller, a mute toggle button, an input source LED, Bluetooth/Wireless/Aux source toggle, and an Audio mixing rocker switch. While the volume scroll wheel doesn’t have a physical end and is quite easy to inadvertently move, it beeps to let you know when you are changing the settings. There are also audio cues for when you’ve muted and unmuted the mic, which is good since the buttons themselves don’t offer much tactile feedback.
Internally, the Logitech G735s features dual 40mm, audio speaker drivers, with support for Dolby Atmos and Windows Sonic spatial surround sound. The removable boom microphone features a cardioid pickup pattern that works well to pick up close sounds like t your voice and reduce unwanted environmental sounds. It also supports Blue VOICE technology – an optional audio software that lets you choose between vocal presets or apply filters. It can make you sound older or of a different gender.
While these headphones work great right out of the box, you can further customize the audio settings, RGB lighting, and more by downloading the Logitech G Hub app for PC or Mac. This is one of the most comprehensive apps I’ve seen for a pair of wireless gaming headsets, offering substantial options for customizing headphone acoustics, sound equaliztion, and surround sound settings for that immersive experience. You can select from a list of preset options, or create your own for specific games. Logitech is really picking up the slack in software app development.
The Logitech G735 LIGHTSPEED Wireless and Logitech G335 differ somewhat in terms of the intended use case. The G735 are wireless, so you don’t need to be worried about an audio cable getting caught on something while using them, and allows you the freedom to move about in between waiting periods. They also have a better-balanced default sound profile, better-fitting earcups for fewer audio leaks, and a companion app with a very wide range of customization features. Meanwhile, the G335 gaming headset is wired, resulting in lower audio latency, unlimited runtime with no recharging, and superior overall microphone performance.
This Logitech G735 wireless gaming headset comes in at a premium price point.
The G735 costs $229.99 (USD), which puts it at the very top of the Logitech G lineup (on par with the Logitech G Pro X Wireless). While this price isn’t the highest — the best wireless headphones tend to be more premium in general, and there are several headsets on our list of best gaming headsets that are higher priced. These are at the higher end and will make it more exclusive to a smaller set of gamers that have more disposable income. The high price comes from sustainability of materials used, the research to talk to a new set of gamers on what they wanted, Biden’s economy if inflation and that the Logitech G brand is developed in the United states.
The Logitech G735 LIGHTSPEED are decent wireless gaming headphones. They feature a new featherweight design that’s also quite comfortable for long gaming sessions and have a very well-balanced sound profile for bass and high tones, so they’re versatile enough for listening to a wide variety of audio content and suited to a wide genre of games. Their G HUB app also offers an enormous selection of options to help tailor the headsets to your liking.
The Logitech G735 Headphones are available for an MSRP of $229.99 and can be purchased directly from Logitech, Ebay, Best Buy. Additionally, a set of interchangeable earpads and boom mic can be purchased in pink or lime green for $20 to further customize the headset.
Depending on your listening habits, you may prefer either the Logitech Gaming G735 Wireless headset or the Razer Barracuda X Wireless. The Logitech has a more flat sound profile OOTB, and the G-Hub software has a graphic equalizer to customize the sound to add more base, mid range, or treble. That said, the Razer also let’s you game via a wired connection, and which is more stable at the expense of freedom. The microphone on the Razor is acceptable but not up to the performance of Blue Mic. Blue Microphones was a dedicated microphone company acquired by Logitech. The technology has found its way into the latest headsets. Blue Microphones competes with the likes of Shure and Rode.
The Logitech G735 are reasonably stable with a decent clamp of the cans to the head. They shouldn’t have any issues staying put on your head if you intend to use them for gaming while stationary, but they move if you are doing any physical activity and are likely to fall completely off if you feel the need to do jumping jacks. However, their wireless / Bluetooth design eliminates the chance of an audio cable catching on something and pulling them from your head.
The Logitech G733 are decently well-built. They’re mostly made of sustainable plastic but feature a material headband and cloth-lined comfortable foam padding on the ear cups. The detachable microphone is also very flexible so it won’t break or jolt if you accidently take a drink of coke. Overall, they feel like they should survive some drops and hits and have a couple of weak points, aside from the center of the plastic headband and the ear cup pads.
