Previously it was owned by Paramount and would Nickelodeon characters and other movie themes. Many many years ago, the park was purchased by Cedar fairs and the re-theming has given a new lease of life to the once struggling theme park.

Most of the rides in Planet Snoopy GASC, are scaled down, slower versions of more thrilling rides in the rest of the park. There’s a small roller coaster, a mini drop ride, toddler-sized bumper cars, a kid-sized swing ride, and many other attractions. Peanuts characters are also available for meet and greet with visitors – although, to some kids, it can be more terrifying than even the fastest ride! Some kids like meeting Snoopy and Linus, but may be terrified of the others, especially if they are not familiar with the Giant size stuffies.
GASC park boasts a number of attractions sure to delight visitors of all ages. These include several themed roller coasters, the Gold Striker, Drop Zone, Delta Flyer, and many other attractions based on fictional worlds.
Planet Snoopy is California’s Great America’s kid’s area, which opened in 2010. The area was originally named Fort Fun and has seen the most name changes as brand licenses were renegotiated following multiple ownership changes, including Kids Kingdom, Smurf Woods, KidZville, and Nickelodeon Central. KidZville is still used as a merchandise store for all your favorite Peanuts gear.
